In the rare event of your website going down here is a list of tips that will help you, if this situation was to ever arise.

Try Clearing your cache in your web browser.

Check your computer is running properly (Restart) is the best way.

Check your internet connection.

Check your router is working properly, if necessary restart your router by turning your router off for 3 mins and turning it on again.

Check your site is actually down by going to and inputting your website address.

If you have tried all these and your site is definitely down, please email or us and we will endeavour to get your website backup asap.

Is all web hosting the same?
No, every company’s web hosting is completely different and the quality will vary. Choice of hardware, automated systems, staff, and experience all make a huge difference.

What are web space and bandwidth?
Web space is the resources available to store your website’s files and content. Every line of text, image, and video has a file size and your web space is how much you can store. Bandwidth is the amount of data your website can send in a month to people visiting your website.

Do you host adult, warez, or BitTorrent websites?
No, we do not host any adult, warez, or BitTorrent websites.

How can I pay for my web hosting account or domain name?
For web hosting accounts our preferred payment method is by direct debit and our pricing policy reflects this. We also accept MasterCard, Visa, Maestro (Switch), Solo, Visa Electron, and Visa Delta. For domain name registrations, we accept MasterCard, Visa, Maestro (Switch), Solo, Visa Electron, and Visa Delta. We regret that we do not accept cheque, postal orders, standing orders, or cash.

How long will it take for my new domain name to become active?
Domains are registered as soon as you order them. However it can take between 24 and 72 hours for them to become visible on the Internet.


Dedicated Server FAQs.

What type of hardware do you use?
All our servers are genuine Dell or HP Servers. If you are comparing us to other providers, please be aware that many companies make “homemade” servers using home computer motherboards in fabricated boxes.

What level of access do I have to my server?
You will have full root or administrator privileges to manage and access your server.

Is there any software installed on the server to help me configure it?
If you have chosen CentOS 6, Debian, or Ubuntu 12.04 LTS we can offer Plesk. If you want the easiest management possible, and have chosen CentOS 6, then we can offer cPanel.

Can I use my server to host videos, stream audio, or store large backups?
Yes, you can use your server for any purpose you need, as long as it abides with UK law.

Does the server run RAID disk mirroring?
Yes, all our servers are set up with RAID mirroring. In the unlikely event of a disk failure this means your server will continue to operate normally. We will be notified of the disk failure and will replace the broken disk for you with no cost or impact to your data or service.
